850 square feet is the size of my house. It holds a husband, as wife (me) 3 children age 9, 12 and 15. We also have 1 big, white, insane lab and 2 snarky cats. Needless to say the love is bursting at the seems. As my children get older and bigger I have created new ways to make space and gain square-footage to avoid under-footage. This blog is a meandering, growing collection of short stories about how we navigate, survive and savor the small spaces on a budget, with as much grace and style as we have the time for.
